Hello! Welcome to my website. My name is Mark and I am a freelance photographer. I have covered the Kentucky Derby, Keeneland horse racing, and the Breeders' Cup for The Blood-Horse magazine. I have also been published in the Woodford Sun and Jessamine Journal among others. My passion is capturing moments in time through photography. While my career didn't start that way, I have grown in to it. My background is working with the land through farming and then excavating. About 15 years ago, I witnessed an accident that changed how I look at life and time...one moment life was one way, the next it was changed forever. That experience combined with my love of the land, nature and people has significantly shaped who I am today. In 2008, I bought my first professional grade Digital SLR and with that decision my life changed course, not all at once, but a little each day. Last year, I took a leap of faith to make a living doing what I love. Today that looks like working freelance for local publications as well as weddings and portraits. This year, I have added teaching! Whatever your skill level I can help you take your photography to the next level.
